The Barrel is a real family affair, the “Palmers” took the pub on in March 2024 and have spent the last 12 months putting their heart and soul into making our pub the centre of our local community.

Corey Palmer is the licensee and his background as a trained chef ensures that the delicious home cooked food is always prepared to the highest standard. With a further 5 family members contributing to running the pub the whole place is truly family orientated.

There is always a warm welcome awaiting you at the Barrel, for young and old alike. The children’s playground and bouncy castle provide hours of fun for the young, while our Friendship Lunches and Chatter Club provide a great opportunity to meet friends old and new.

Whatever the occasion, our new function room is the idea location to celebrate any event.

Our emphasis is on creating a great venue, providing high quality meals and buffets, and delivering great value for money, so everybody has an enjoyable experience.
